Biography

Annabel is the Founder & CEO of Children’s Theatre Digital (CTD), the home of children’s theatre worldwide. Her research with CTD explores how the digital platform can enhance a child’s engagement with theatre on both a local and global scale and diversify revenue streams for makers. Her work as Artistic Director/ Head of Education for ‘Todos Teatro’ (Associate Artists of the Oxford Playhouse) & carbon footprint free creative learning platform TeatrONLINE inspires young audiences to make positive ecological change. She’s particularly interested in this work to empower young activists to join climate change action and debate. Annabel is co-Artistic Director for To&Fro Theatre, an actors’ network to explore new R&D ideas, reconnect artists with training and find fusion points with techniques across art forms.

She has worked internationally and as a speaker and advisor for ‘Developing the Arts’ in Rwanda for The First Lady’s Foundation ‘Youth Empowerment Scheme’.

Her work stems from and continues to engage community theatre & films projects with youth justice organisations, mental health charities as well as teenage parent groups. Alongside running Todos Teatro, she worked as Director-in-Residence for both Eton College & Harrow School where she curated the London Primary Tour and the Harrow Fringe Festival. Her training credits include Gardzience Centre of Theatre Studies, First Class BA(Hons) Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance/ Escuela Superior de Arte Dramatico & MA (Distinction) from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts/ Birkbeck College, London.
